Checking 101

What do you know about checking accounts?

A checking account gives you one more option when it comes to making purchases or paying your bills. Checks are convenient, and they're less expensive to use than money orders. In addition to writing checks to make purchases, you can use an ATM or debit card at any bank machine, grocery store, or drug store to make a purchase. You can also use a check debit card, which can be used for purchases anywhere credit cards are accepted.

There are four main stages of the checking process:
  1. Writing a Check
  2. Keeping Track of Your Money
  3. Endorsing a Check
  4. Reconciling Your Account
